John Updike

Why have I never read anything by John Updike before? I'm really enjoying his style, and the story is very interesting. He's sure done his research, and I'd love to know what's true and what is made up. Certainly his cult section is based on the Waco stand-off, although I don't know yet if the ending will be the same. I expect to finish the novel off tonight. It may well make my top 2000 list.

I have all of Updike's Rabbit novels, thanks to my favourite used bookstore. I'll make it a fall project to do an Updike mini-marathon of the Rabbit books.
