Suzz et all, I finished Canone Inverso last evening reading the last 40 pages in a mad dash for the end. As with The Luneberg Variation I was captured by the story and almost melodic way he strings events and thoughts and dialogue together. My favourite musical instrument is the violin and to see what the effect would be I listened to the Brandenburg Concertos while reading the novel. Fabulous, utterly fabulous. I hope that his next novel is in the works and will be out soon. I haven't enjoyed an Italian novelist this much since Umberto Eco's Foucault's Pendulum.
