The Bluest Eye

Okay, why wasn't this called The Bluest Eyes? Sounds just as nice, and makes a whole lot more sense (unlike my poorly constructed sentence). It was okay - certainly kept me reading. Seemed wordy at times, though, and somewhat flowery. Morrison can write, I'll give her that, because often I wanted to put it down to avoid feeling uncomfortable....and I could not. While not a top 2000 read, Pecola and her wasted, ugly life will weigh on my mind for some time to come.
