It is a YA book. The main character is Cody Elliot, a teen whose family has just relocated to Massachussetts from California. He is miserable so he fails all his classes on purpose. His dad decides to send him to private school. The two choices are Our Lady of Perpetual Homework or Vlad Dracul Magnet School. Cody will do anything to stay away from OLPH so he convinces his dad to take him to Vlad. At Vlad he discovers that they need non-vampires for water-sports in order for the school to keep its accreditation(sp?). It's not long before he is making waves out of the water as he ignores the long held traditions regaring human/vampire relations.

It is a very good book dealing with differences and overcoming them.
