I was tempted to skip reading Wish You Well by David Baldacci after being unable to finishe Saving Faith. I decided to give it a shot and I am glad I did. This book makes you wonder why Baldacci is wasting his talent writing formulaic(sp?) thrillers. Wish You Well is about two children from 1940's NYC who move to the mountains of West Virginia after a family tragedy. In Virginia, they move into a house with no electricity, no indoor plumbing and alot of work. Soon they are facing such issues as racism, dislike for city folk and a big money company that wants to buy the farm. There is a court case, but it is not the central part of the book. The book is about how love will see you through the toughest times.
