Now that I've had some time to digest and assimilate it, I like this book more and more. Sparse, lonely, and bit on the odd side, it makes for an interesting reading experience and covers some large and universal issues on a very intimate scale. I'm a big DeLillo fan and while this book falls short of his others, IMO (it's a bit disjointed and leaves you wanting more - not more in terms of it becoming a longer book, but more within the context of what's already there) this slim novel shouldn't be dismissed.
