Outside The Dog Museum

Jonathan Carroll

Purchase this title at B&N

I started "Outside The Dog Museum" by Jonathan Carroll yesterday. This is either the fifth or sixth book of his which I've read and when I have a Carroll waiting for me in the book stacks it's like having a wonderful meal waiting for you in the future. However, I couldn't even pull 50 pages out of this latest one. Mr. Carroll has never, ever disappointed me, every book I've read by him finds me falling in love from the first page, totally enchanted with the characters, fully immersed in the plot. But this novel just took me nowhere and I kept arguing with myself that I was missing something because how could I not like a Jonathan Carroll novel??? Alas, the argument was lost and the dustbunnies hopped over in anticipation. What a bummer. But not one to despair, I immediately ran over and ordered Glass Soup.
