How do you introduce a mixed race couple with 1970's values as observers into (or onto) an ante bellum (sic?) plantation? Time travel, of course.
This is an interesting tale that mixes SF with cultural clashes, and it will almost certainly remain in my top 10 for the year. Very interesting reading, and well worth considering for that (growing) TBR list you all have.
