I finished The Last Time I Saw Jane, by Canadian author (though living in London now) Kate Pullinger. Basically, if you enjoyed Bridget Jones Diary, you'll like this. The story follows Audrey, a journalist, through her relationship with a black American. Fine. There's also plenty of British Columbia history thrown in, apparently at random. Pullinger tries to tie the two stories together, but I felt she didn't quite pull it off. Well-written, thoughtful at times, not what I was expecting or hoping for...
