I blew through this in about 2 days - sure pulled me in, even when I wanted to stop. What a miserable childhood Jennifer Lauck had. But I wished for some adult voices to step in and explain some of the things that happened to her; while writing from a child's point of view was certainly effective, it left many gaps. As a story, though, it was an interesting read. Really, it read more like a fictional story than an autobiography.
