What We Keep, by Elizabeth Berg is a nice, easy read. The writing is excellent, and the story compelling - the reader spends a summer with 12-year old Ginny and her older sister Sharla, as they watch their mother change so much that she eventually disappears from their lives. Berg has yet to disappoint me; I read her when I wish a lighter subject, with good gentle writing.
