I should have loved this book. Interesting premise of an orchestra who plays in a cellar and their music is channeled to the King's rooms through the means of special tubes and horns; beautiful, historical setting of 17th C Denmark. It started off quite well, but in the end I just wanted it to end. It seemed to go on for too long, and most of the characters just seemed to spend most of their lives, waiting, waiting, waiting. Sigh. In the end, even the one romantic thread failed to appeal.
