The Road to Lichfield

Penelope Lively

Purchase this title at B&N

The first Lively I've read. Not an all engrossing read, but good enough to make me consider picking up another one of hers one of these days. Fairly interesting characters living every day lives. There's a life lesson here, which is pretty obviously approached, but nevertheless succeeds in its message without sacrificing its characters for it.
