Empire Falls

Richard Russo

I finished this book last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Whether it deserved the Pulitzer Prize or not, it's certainly very readable and well written. I will definitely want to try some other books by Richard Russo, as this was the first one I've read by this author. I just saw one in the Barnes and Noble Bargain Books section called THE RISK POOL - has anyone read that one? EMPIRE FALLS reminded me a lot of a book by Mary McGarry Morris called SONGS IN ORDINARY TIMES.
