I'm still mulling over my thoughts about this book. It wasn't that I didn't like it, and it was certainly an easy read, but it just didn't seem to carry the punch of some of King's other novels. The story opens when a vintage Buick drives into a Pennsylvania gas station, quickly being abandoned by a mysterious stranger who disappears. This Buick has the appearance of a normal car until closer inspection reveals that this is a very strange car indeed. It's hauled off and stored in Shed B on the State Trooper premises where, over the next 21 years, the fascinated Troopers discover that not only is this a very strange car, it is also a very dangerous one. When the son of a deceased Trooper begins to show a disturbing interest in the car, the events that have transpired while the Buick has been sitting in Shed B are related to him through the eyes and memories of various characters who have observed it over those years. This leads to a final confrontation with the car. What the Buick really is, where it came from and why, is a mystery that will leave the reader thinking.
