Life of Pi

I finished Life of Pi one day this week (can't remember) and Jeannie, I, too, liked it. I think perhaps a bit less than you did but I found it an enjoyable and unique reading experience. I can't remember who was on the fence about reading this one but I'd recommend it with the caveat that it is indeed about a teen on a boat in the middle of the ocean and, at times, it doesn't move along all that quickly. It's written beautifully, though, and there's a spiritual message that, while not complete, (in my opinion the author fails to make a critical connection) is provocative. I think it would make a great discussion book.
