Murder in Brentwood

Mark Fuhrman

Purchase this title at B&N

Now don't laugh, dammit -- As you can imagine, Fuhrman's book is filled with egotistical ramblings of how vital a role he actually played in the OJ investigation and how he was unfairly hung out to dry by the prosecution. Apparently, Fuhrman is a brilliant investigator who was responsible for finding most of the evidence against OJ and everyone else from the detectives on the case to the prosecutors were incompetent idiots (well, okay, part of that is true anyway). Still, if you can read around the self-serving dribble, it's an interesting account of the vast amount of ridiculously incriminating indisputable evidence that existed against OJ. Most of this is information we already know but somehow seeing it laid out logically in black and white still caught me by surprise. At nearly 400 pages, this is an extremely easy read that only took me two-three hours to get through. Not that I recommend anyone actually read it, mind you.
