The Master of Disguise: My Life in the CIA

Antonia J. Mendez

Purchase this title at B&N

This guy can match Fuhrman page per page where ego is concerned, however Mendez tells a fascinating story of cold war espionage and his role in the CIA. Filled with individual stories of various missions, it's an eye opening experience to read these first hand accounts. This is from the amazon.com summary review (it's getting late and I'm getting tired, so this is just easier, and besides, it says exactly what I would have said if I had the capacity at this moment to think that hard): "Originally drafted by the CIA as a "technical artist" to provide cover for agents behind enemy lines, Mendez worked his way up the ladder and progressed to a full-fledged agent in the field, sneaking diplomats past enemy guards and spiriting informants into the night, eluding capture and torture at every turn--and using his artist's eye for detail to paint vivid word pictures of his predicaments. Mendez possesses a remarkably keen sense of the mechanics of a good cloak-and-dagger story, and fortunately pours it on in abundance here in his quite hefty--and surprisingly lively--autobiography." Really interesting stuff here.
