These are two of the three volumes of the fictional Agnes Browne family of Dublin. It is not clear if volume one ever made it to the US (I didn't see it at Amazon when I posted these for sale). Although not without problems, this is a much more warm hearted look at life in the low end of the economic spectrum in Ireland. In a large family of seven, there are multiple threads an individual stories, most of which turn out well. At times, I laughed out loud. At times, the eyes welled up. Both books are short and I think they are well worth your time.
