The Farseer: Assassin's Quest

Robin Hobb

Purchase this title at B&N

I have to say that overall this series was outstanding. Really and truly so. This always surprises me when it comes to a fantasy offering because I am in general not at all fond of the genre. That being said, I'm not quite sure how I feel about the ending, or more specifically, how everything is resolved. It's interesting, internal logic within the story is maintained, and the characters behave as I would expect them to based on their development throughout the series. However, and I can't give it away being a major, major spoiler, there is one aspect of the story that just made me cringe. Once you have read it, Bonnie, I'll tell you what it was. Perhaps you'll guess when you reach that point.

Third and final installment in the series I'd rate a 3, but the series overall is definitely at 4.5.
