Fluke, Or I Know Why the Winged Whale Sings

Christopher Moore

Purchase this title at B&N

Chris Moore returns with a novel about whales and the people who study them. Nate Quinn is a researcher studying the songs of whales in Hawaii. He is joined by his loyal friend clay, saucy and attractive student Amy and a Rastafarian wannabee from New Jersey named Kona. Nate sooon discovers that something odd is going on with the whales after he notices the words Bite ME painted on the fluke of a whale he is watching. He is soon overboard and entering a world that only Chris Moore could imagine. Going any further in the plot would ruin the book. It is a light, easy read. It is not as laugh out loud funny as some of his others, but the characters are likeable and the story moves along nicely.
