The Delicate Storm

Giles Blunt

Purchase this title at B&N

I just finished Giles Blunt's The Delicate Storm and although it did not overall have the impact of Forty Words for Sorrow, I liked this second installment to the John Cardinal mystery series. (As a third offering is in the works, I'll take the liberty of calling it a series.)

I'm afraid to say anything about the story because I'm afraid of throwing out a spoiler or two. Instead let me throw out a few words and phrases as teasers: dead body, body parts, bears, terrorists, Wudky, Lise Delorme, Canadian politics, Conservative Party, ice storm, and murder. Well, that should do it, I think.

All in all, I recommend The Delicate Storm. I'll look forward to hearing what the rest of you think when you get to it.
